[](/files/2025/STAVKA/20250313.jpg)On Wednesday, March 12, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, with the main topic being the use of domestically produced UAVs for long-range strikes.
«I held a Staff meeting today – a Technological Staff meeting. First and foremost, we focused on our drones and their long-range strike capabilities… We analyzed the use of recent strikes, examined the results, and identified the most effective drone models… The key priority is to enhance our weapons’ ability to overcome russian electronic warfare and air defense systems», emphasized the President of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyу noted that the production and continuous modernization of drones are among the key elements of the system to deter russia, which is crucial for ensuring Ukraine’s long-term security. According to him, achieving this requires contracts, funding, and investments from international partners.
«Manufacturers proposed specific technological solutions. In ten days, we will revisit these issues and must have answers to everything discussed today. Our Ukrainian drone production and continuous modernization efforts are essential components of the system deterring russia, which is necessary to guarantee Ukraine’s long-term security. Furthermore, it will be our international advantage — how we can export security after this war», the Head of State stated.
The President of Ukraine emphasized that Ukrainian drone developments are in high international demand, and after the war, this will become a significant economic advantage for Ukraine.
«Even now, there is enormous interest from our friends worldwide in Ukrainian innovations, our capabilities, and our technological production… Of course, this will be our economic advantage in relations with other partners as well», concluded Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
