Harry Maguire return game revealed

Ruben Amorim has provided an update on key players.

Amorim confirmed that both that Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro will return to action soon.

“Mason Mount is too soon,” Amorim said.

“Leny is out. Harry cannot play this one,but I hope to have him for Sunday.

“Manu [Manuel Ugarte] is in the squad.

“Leny is not long-term but he cannot play this game or the next one.”

Earlier, Manchester United confirmed that Mount is back in training, but tomorrow’s match comes too soon for him to participate.

Ugarte, however, is expected to go straight back into the starting XI.

Addressing recent comments from Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who stated some players were not good enough, Amorim said: “If we are being honest, everybody, me, the players, are underperforming this season.

“I include myself in that.

“You talk about Casemiro, for example, and he is a player that has won everything.

“Everyone can do so much better. The focus is on changing his and everyone else’s minds.”

Regarding next season’s plans, Amorim revealed: “We have a clear plan to address next season.

“Of course, we have the Europa League also, and we can reach the Champions League.

“You never know.

“It can change plans.

“We have a plan and we know what to do. We know what kind of players we need to bring.”

A win in tomorrow’s match will provide the squad with the energy needed to continue the season, according to Amorim, though he added it wouldn’t change everything.
