A trio of Real Madrid stars have on Thursday been afforded call-ups to the France national team squad.
The stars in question? Kylian Mbappé, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Eduardo Camavinga.
It is of course the former of these three whose selection on the part of France boss Didier Deschamps marks the most significant, after Mbappé was left out of both of Les Bleus’ prior two squads.
The 26-year-old, though, having now found his groove in the colours of Real Madrid, will be back in the thick of things for France’s Nations League quarter-final double-header against Croatia over the weeks ahead.
Midfielder Tchouaméni’s call-up has also been well-earned, with the former AS Monaco standout having rediscovered some of his brilliant best form over recent months.
Elsewhere in the group selected by Didier Deschamps, PSG talent Desiré Doué is drafted in for the very first time, with the likes of William Saliba, Adrien Rabiot and Bradley Barcola selected, too.
