Brighton would reportedly receive a significant chunk of the transfer fee if Chelsea ever sold their young player in the future.
Under the current Chelsea ownership, the Blues have raided Premier League rivals Brighton on a regular basis, taking both players and various members of staff.
The likes of Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella and Robert Sanchez made the switch from the Amex Stadium to Stamford Bridge in recent years.
In addition, Graham Potter, along with some of his backroom staff, left Brighton to become Chelsea head coach in 2022. Unfortunately, he was sacked after less than seven months in the dugout and is now West Ham boss.
Brighton supporters certainly enjoyed watching their side beat Chelsea twice in February (Premier League and FA Cup). In fact, Seagulls manager Fabian Hurzeler commented on Brighton versus Chelsea as a really important fixture for his team’s supporters because of the recent history.

Brighton will get 20 per cent of transfer fee if Chelsea ever sell Shumaira Mheuka
Another transfer between Brighton and Chelsea in recent times saw academy prospect Shumaira Mheuka move to London in 2022.
Now aged 17, the teenage striker has started to get first-team minutes for the Blues, making three senior appearances so far this season.
According to The Daily Mail, Brighton are starting to benefit from the add-ons inserted into Mheuka’s transfer when he was only 14. A tribunal settled on a fee worth £1m, rising to £4.25m based on various achievements.

The report adds that the Blues will need to pay a £250,000 sum when the English youngster signs his second professional deal with them upon turning 18.
Also, Brighton will be due 20 per cent of the transfer fee if Chelsea ever sell Mheuka in the future.
For now, the focus is on what the rising star is doing on the football pitch. It’s very encouraging to see more and more of him around the senior group, which must be helped by the fact that senior centre-forwards Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu are injured right now.
Mheuka was compared to Cole Palmer earlier in the season after a display for the Under-21s side, where he scored a fantastic hat-trick.

Shumaira Mheuka tipped for big future
Mheuka made his first-ever start in Chelsea’s senior team during last week’s 2-1 away win over Copenhagen in the first leg of a Conference League last-16 tie.
The 17-year-old forward is still at the very infancy of his career and development, but it’s encouraging that Enzo Maresca is prepared to chuck him into the side.
