Man Utd face Real Sociedad in their Europa League second leg tonight, and these players are eligible to feature.
Manchester United have been handed mixed injury news ahead of their Europa League last 16 second leg against Real Sociedad tonight. The sides are level 1-1 on aggregate heading into the clash, and Ruben Amorim will require a big performance to keep their hopes of Champions League qualification alive.
Manuel Ugarte is set to be named in the matchday squad after he returned from a minor injury issue that saw him miss the last two matches. At the same time, Patrick Dorgu is eligible to play despite serving a three-match domestic suspension. Mason Mount returned to training on Wednesday but is not expected to be included in the squad tonight. Harry Maguire will miss the tie but should return against his former side, Leicester, this weekend and Leny Yoro is not expected to be back until after the international break.
Chido Obi is not registered to feature in the Europa League this season but two academy teammates have been added to the squad to face Sociedad.
Manchester United add two youngsters to Real Sociedad squad
Manchester United have added Tyler Fredricson and James Scanlon to their Europa League squad ahead of the second leg against Real Sociedad tonight. Fredricson, 19, has captained the U19s in the Youth League and was named on the bench when United faced Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last month.
Scanlon, 18, has already made 10 full international appearances for the Gibraltar national side and scored a goal in their Nations League draw with Lichtenstein last summer. He has played a key role in the U18s progress to the semi-finals of the Youth Cup and scored twice in a 5-1 win over Chelsea.
The teenage duo have both been added to United's B-List for the match, which allows the club to name an unlimited number of players born after 2003 to their squad, as long as they have been at the club for at least two years. Chido Obi can't be added as he only signed from Arsenal last summer. Elyh Harrison, Harry Amass, Habeeb Ogunneye, Jack Fletcher and Jayce Fitzgerald are also eligible to feature in the competition.
