Jonathan Kuminga’s Injury Status Before Warriors-Kings

The Golden State Warriors have now won five straight games with a 9-1 record in their past ten showings.

Since acquiring Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline, the Warriors are 11-2 in 13 games played.

Needless to say, the club is finding its stride at an ideal time, with the end of the regular season being less than a month away.

With a 37-28 record, Golden State currently holds the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference, though the Minnesota Timberwolves are closely trailing them.

As of right now, the Warriors' ascension in the West is enough to help them avoid the Play-In Tournament, but they've got to continue their run of good form to solidify such.

Help is on the way, too. While Stephen Curry has elevated his play to an MVP level, the duo of him and Butler could benefit from another "star" player.

Jonathan Kuminga is expected to make his return from injury over two months since being sidelined.

Kuminga's injury status before Warriors-Kings

Ahead of the Warriors' coming matchup against the Sacramento Kings -- a Northern California battle -- Kuminga is listed is "probable," though all signs indicate he will be active.

The G League Ignite was playing the best basketball of his career prior to his injury, and him finding form will not only be essential to the Warriors' playoff run, but also his pending contract extension this offseason.

The entire Warriors squad has benefitted from Butler's arrival. It should be the same for Kuminga, though his role will be slightly altered from the last time he was on the court.

It'll be a pivotal month for Kuminga, who has plenty to prove in his newfound role as he seeks a payday in the offseason.

Golden State has enough of a sample size to lean into the duo of Curry and Butler, but will Kuminga prove to be a part of the core trio?
