Diogo Dalot has dropped an early team news hint ahead of Manchester United's Europa League match with Real Sociedad at Old Trafford tonight (8pm).

The Reds will attempt to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition following a 1-1 draw in the first leg in San Sebastian last week. Joshua Zirkzee scored the only goal for the visitors before Mikel Oyarzabal equalised from the penalty spot.

After a rocky start to life under Ruben Amorim, the Reds' only chance at silverware is in Europe as they sit 14th in the Premier League. Despite their wretched form, domestically, United are the only unbeaten side in this season's Europa League.

They recorded three draws from their first three outings of the league phase, but they won all of their remaining five matches. Ahead of the clash, Dalot and Casemiro posted a pre-match graphic preview of the Sociedad game to their Instagram story. Historically, this suggests they will be involved in some capacity.

Casemiro has been limited to regular game-time under Amorim, starting just three Europa League matches so far. However, his post could hint that he play, once again.

Speaking with the media ahead of United's clash, Amorim was quizzed about whether winning the Europa League can keep the season alive. "In that context, it's also important as it will give us more energy to continue the season. It's not going to change a lot, but it can give us energy," he said.

The Portuguese head coach will be without Mason Mount, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro for the match, though he expects to welcome Maguire back against Leicester City. "Mason Mount is too soon," he confirmed.

"Leny [Yoro] is out. Harry Maguire cannot play this one. I hope to have him for Sunday."

United's existing list of absentees includes Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad.
