Tottenham receive interesting Antoine Semenyo update from Fabrizio Romano

Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on Bournemouth’s transfer plans ahead of the summer, which could have a big impact on Tottenham’s pursuit of Antoine Semenyo and Dean Huijsen.

Bournemouth have been a revelation since Andoni Iraola arrived at the club at the start of last season, with the South Coast club currently pushing for European qualification.

Unsurprisingly, their success has attracted the attention of the top clubs in the Premier League and across Europe, who are thought to be eyeing up some of their star men.

This includes Tottenham Hotspur, who are allegedly very keen on securing a defensive starlet and an exciting winger from the South Coast club.

Tottenham may find Antoine Semenyo an easier target

Over the last few days, we have heard that Tottenham are plotting a move for Dean Huijsen, but the Lilywhites are expected to face competition from some of the biggest clubs in the continent for the 19-year-old.

It has also been claimed recently that Spurs are big fans of Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, who continues to give nightmares to defences across the Premier League with his aggressive wide play.

However, Romano has now explained that there will not be a mass exodus from the Cherries, who will fight to keep their star men this summer.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The journalist told GiveMeSport: “[Milos] Kerkez, [Dean] Huijsen, Semenyo… many Bournemouth players are attracting interest, but I don’t think they will sell 3–4 players. Semenyo has chances to go as interest is there, but it’s not something guaranteed now, as the club will try to fight to keep him.”

Spurs are eyeing an even bigger fish from Bournemouth

It is not just Semenyo and Huijsen who are thought to be of interest to the North London club, with various outlets reporting that Iraola is Tottenham’s preferred option to replace Ange Postecoglou in the summer.

If Tottenham do manage to prise Iraola away from Bournemouth, that could give them a huge advantage over other suitors in the race for the Cherries’ top players like Antoine Semenyo.
