BUTLIN’S Minehead has responded to the unveiled design of Manchester United’s new £2bn 100,000-seater stadium plans by saying it looks "familiar".
Manchester United have announced plans to build the biggest stadium in the UK close to Old Trafford, which is set to seat 100,000 and will cost £2bn according to the BBC.
The huge new stadium will be designed by architects Foster and Partners who have said the stadium will feature an umbrella design and a public plaza that will be larger than Trafalgar Square.
The design will feature three tent-like masts described as “the trident” which the architects say will be 200 metres high overall.

This tent-like mast design has resulted in people taking to social media, including Butlin's themselves commenting on how it reminds them of Butlins’ holiday resort which is well-known for its own iconic white tent structures.

Since the plans were unveiled on Tuesday, March 11, Butlin’s themselves have also posted humorous tweets on X and other social media platforms mocking the club by saying the design “Looks great (and a little familiar)”.
