Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday said Russia agrees with a Ukraine ceasefire but it should lead to "enduring peace and remove underlying causes of this crisis", as per BBC.
He was speaking as Donald Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff is in Moscow ahead of US-Russia talks on a 30-day ceasefire proposal.
Putin also reportedly mentioned he believes "we need to negotiate with our American colleagues and partners" and "maybe" have a phone call with US President Donald Trump.
