Now, two of United’s most promising prospects have received a significant boost in their development, earning call-ups to the England Men’s Elite League Squad for the upcoming international break.
Goalkeeper Elyh Harrison and midfielder Toby Collyer have been named in the 22-man squad, which will take on Portugal in Leiria on March 21 before facing Switzerland in Marbella three days later.
The call-ups are a testament to their development at United and their performances at youth level this season.
Harrison, 18, has been one of United’s standout goalkeepers in the academy setup, earning recognition for his composure and shot-stopping ability.
He will be competing with Chelsea’s Max Merrick and Sunderland loanee Matthew Young for a starting role.
