Atlético-MG are the latest side to show interest in Fulham striker Carlos Vinícius as he gets ready to become a free agent this summer.
That’s according to Goal Brasil, who say Atlético have joined the growing list of Brazilian suitors for the striker.
They report that the club are ‘evaluating’ the Fulham striker ahead of the summer, with him seemingly set to leave Fulham on a free
His current deal expires on June 30th, 2025, and the Premier League side are yet to take up an option to extend that for now. Vinícius is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement, and several sides are studying a potential move.
Atlético are one of them and considering formalising a proposal to sign the striker on a pre-contract agreement.
They’re monitoring the situation around the players and reports that Vinícius sees returning to his homeland as a real possibility this summer. This is something his agent also confirmed this week.
He believes he will get regular minutes if he returns home and Atlético, who have already made contact with him on other occasions. They could therefore revive their interest this summer.
They will only move forward if Deyverson leaves the club, though. He currently has an offer in hand from Fortaleza and Atlético haven’t ruled out a sale. Vinícius is seen as an ideal replacement.
