Even before the NFL offseason officially began on Wednesday, teams knew long ago that Cooper Kupp would be available. While the Los Angeles Rams attempted to trade the Super Bowl LVI MVP, a nearly $30 million cap hit made that impossible.

Now that Kupp has been released from the Rams’ roster, interest in the one-time All-Pro receiver is heating up.

Cooper Kupp is set to turn 32 years old in June, he only has one career 1,000-yard season and that came back in 2021. Furthermore, he hasn’t played more than 12 games in a single season since 2021.

However, when healthy, Kupp is still an effective receiver. He averaged 59.2 yards per game last season, which would have put him on pace to record a 1,006-yard season. Kupp may no longer be a potential No. 1 option, but he’s a high-end WR2 or WR3 and teams are already showing interest.

According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, Kupp is seeking roughly $14-$15 million per season, and a quartet of teams are monitoring his situation. These include the Jacksonville Jaguars, where former Rams front office exec James Gladstone now operates as the GM and the Minnesota Vikings, where Kupp would re-unite with former Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell.

“There are a lot of teams interested in him. He’s looking to get paid around $14-$15 million. I think Seattle’s got their eye on him. I think the Jags are watching this as well, the Minnesota Vikings. I think the Green Bay Packers are poking around. I like looking at teams that are probably trying to make a run. I also know Tom Brady loves Cooper Kupp. I’m interested to see if the Raiders are going to make a push here.”

She also mentions that she doesn’t “get a sense that” the Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots or Houston Texans will make a play for the soon-to-be 32-year-old receiver.
