**PREDICTED XI**
First of all, a reminder of the that started last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace: Palmer; O'Shea, Woolfenden, Greaves, Davis; Phillips, Cajuste; Philogene, Enciso, Clarke; Delap.
Omari Hutchinson came off the bench in that game having sat out the previous weekend's FA Cup tie at Forest with the knee injury he sustained when being on the receiving end of Patrick Dorgu's red card challenge at Manchester United. If fit, he'll almost certainly come back into the side given he's started 25 of Town's 28 Premier League games this season.
My feeling is that Hutchinson will replace Jack Clarke in the team, play as the right-sided No.10, with Julio Enciso moving across to the inside left forward role.
The only other potential change I can see is Cameron Burgess replacing Jacob Greaves as the left-sided centre-back. Greaves didn't have his best game at Selhurst Park, while Burgess may be seen as better suited to deal with the physicality of Forest front man Chris Wood. Greaves, on the other hand, has the greater pace to help Leif Davis out with Anthony Elanga. My gut feeling, is that McKenna sticks with Greaves.
**Predicted XI (4-2-3-1):** Palmer; O'Shea, Woolfenden, Greaves, Davis; Phillips, Cajuste; Philogene, Hutchinson, Enciso; Delap.
**STU'S SHOUT**
There's an argument that McKenna should deploy more of a 3-4-2-1 system given how well that worked at Forest recently. That would see Ben Johnson, one of the Blues' best performers in that tie, come into the team at the expense of either Jaden Philogene, Enciso or Clarke. His athleticism would help Dara O'Shea deal with the pacey counter-attacking threat of Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The counter-argument to that, of course, is that the time for pragmatism has long gone. Ipswich need wins, they're at home and they have to go for this against a team who let you have plenty of the ball.
So how about this for an alternative... Regular listeners to our Kings of Anglia podcast will know I've often floated the idea of getting Delap and George Hirst in the team at the same time. This, I feel, could be the perfect time to play that wild card.
Not as a traditional front two, I might add. I'd have Hirst (who's looked a handful in the cups) running in behind, stretching the opposition and creating pockets of space for Enciso and Hutchinson to operate in. Then I'd have Delap playing high on the right (a role he played plenty of times when on loan for Hull). He'll get more joy against left-back Neco Williams than the man mountains of Nikola Milenkovic and Murillo. A happy by-product would be more space opening up on the other flank for Davis too.
I remember Roberto Martinez bamboozling Arsenal with this tactic in 2014 [when deploying the bustling Romelu Lukaku wide right](https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/apr/06/arsenal-baffled-grand-tactical-surprise-roberto-martinez-everton). Everton won 3-0.
This could similarly catch Forest by surprise, while seeing two strikers in the team would certainly lift the crowd. It's just a thought.
**Stu's shout:** Palmer; O'Shea, Woolfenden, Greaves, Davis; Phillips, Cajuste; Delap, Hutchinson, Enciso; Hirst.
