Wolves indicate they’re ready to spend on player – Bid coming at end of season

Wolverhampton Wanderers are planning a move for Palmeiras youngster Riquelme Fillipi, indicating that they are ready to make a bid for him.

That’s [according to Nosso Palestra](https://nossopalestra.com.br/noticias/destaque-do-palmeiras-na-temporada-sub-20-riquelme-fillipi-e-alvo-de-clube-da-inglaterra/), who say Palmeiras’ standout player in the U-20 season is a target for Wolves this summer.

They report that the 18-year-old has ‘attracted interest’ from Wolves thanks to his performances this season after a year in which he’s been Palmeiras’ top scorer in the Copinha 2025 and the U-20 Libertadores after three games.

He’s considered one of several promising athletes in the Palmeiras youth academy and Wolves have indicated that they will make an offer in the region of €6m fixed plus bonuses for the striker. This offer will be made at the end of the season.

That’s interesting as Filippi is yet to be promoted to Palmeiras first team by manager Abel Ferreira despite a desire at the club to promote youth as much as possible.

This has seemingly not put off Wolves, who appear to be convinced of the youngsters talent and ready to spend on him this summer.

It’s not the first time that Riquelme Fillipi has been linked with a move to England as Nottingham Forest were credited with an interest last summer, so perhaps their counterparts at Molineux want to get ahead of the competition.
