Moment Sir Alex Ferguson spots winning Cheltenham horse co-owner holding scarf of rival Premier League club behind him

SIR ALEX FERGUSON celebrated his Cheltenham victory alongside a co-owner who held aloft an Aston Villa scarf.

The former Manchester United boss claimed victory at the Festival after Caldwell Potter won the Richards Novice Limited Handicap Chase.

Upon seeing his horse claim victory, and a cool £65,000, Ferguson beamed and hugged his pals.

He then turned around to see his co-owner Lisa Hales holding an Aston Villa scarf above her head.

Lisa is the daughter of the late John Hales, who co-owner Caldwell Potter with Ferguson.

Hales played a key role in the purchase of the horse for £620,000 in an auction last year.

He passed away in January aged 85.

Hales was a Grand National-winning owner whoamassed his huge fortune making toys.

Hales and Sir Alex shared some amazing scenes at last year's Cheltenham Festival.

They roared home two winners alongside Sam Allardyce and Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall, who was by Ferguson's side again to roar on Caldwell Potter.

Caldwell Potter beat Anyway and O'Moore Park to the post on Day 3 at Cheltenham.
