The Miami Dolphins announced today that they have signed guard **James Daniels** as an unrestricted free agent.
**Daniels** has played seven NFL seasons, spending time with Chicago (2018-21) and Pittsburgh (2022-24.) He has appeared in 90 career games with 84 starts – 23 at left guard, eight at center and 53 at right guard. He also started two postseason games, one with Chicago (2018) and another with Pittsburgh (2023). Daniels entered the league as a second-round selection (39th overall) by Chicago in the 2018 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Iowa (2015-17), where he appeared in 37 games with 25 starts in three seasons with the Hawkeyes. Daniels is the cousin of former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chris Chambers (2001-07), who ranks fourth in career receiving yards in franchise history (5,688).
