Marc Cucurella has fired Joao Felix a message on social media. The 25-year-old forward, who Chelsea signed from Atletico Madrid in the summer for £45m, has struggled to impress since joining AC Milan on loan.
Felix swapped Stamford Bridge for the San Siro in the final hours of the January transfer window, looking for more first-team opportunities. Milan paid Chelsea a £5m fee to snap-up the Portugal international, on loan, until the end of the season, with no obligation to buy clause written into the deal.
He led the Rossoneri to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia on his debut, scoring a brilliant chip in a 3-1 win over AS Roma. Felix has failed to find the net since, firing blanks in each of his last eight games across all competitions.
His only other goal contribution was an assist in a 3-2 win over Lecce last weekend. Despite having played such a key role in Sérgio Conceição's side, Felix has struggled to impress - so much so that Milan have decided they will not try to sign the Chelsea loanee on a permanent basis in the summer - according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.
As it stands, Felix, who doesn't see his contract at Stamford Bridge expire until June 2031, will return to Chelsea in the summer. In the meantime, the Portugal star has been sharing his journey on social media - drawing comments from a few Blues teammates along the way.
On Wednesday, Felix uploaded a carousel of pictures to his Instagram, capturing moments from his recent trip to Paris. Renato Veiga, who left Chelsea to join Juventus on loan in January, tagged Pedro Neto, writing: "Come here please..."
The Blues' star is yet to reply to his countryman's comment. Meanwhile, Cucurella wrote: "Hahahahahahahaha no respect [crying with laughter emoji]."
Ironically, upon his arrival at Milan last month, Felix revealed he was open to staying. Speaking to reporters at his unveiling, as quoted by TMW, he said: "I knew about the greatness of this club, Milan are huge.
"From the outside, you can see it's a very big club, and when you're inside, you realise you're in one of the biggest clubs in Europe. I already knew the coach, I had played against him, and I followed him.
"I told him what I expected; to play in my role. He never told me if I would play a lot or little, but to play in my role. That's what convinced me to come to Milan. For now, I'm on loan until June. Let’s see how it goes.
"At the moment, I'm really enjoying everything - the club, the people, the facilities. I've been welcomed very well. The most important thing is to be where I feel good, and I feel good here. Then, in football, things can change, but if there's a possibility to stay at Milan, I would like that.
"I immediately loved the atmosphere at San Siro. I've experienced this kind of environment at Benfica and Atletico Madrid, but I must say the atmosphere here was different. I didn't expect such a welcome; you could really feel the fans' affection. It was an incredible atmosphere, and I hope it continues like this."
