Real Madrid are keen to sign one Chelsea star this summer window. The player has been playing a big role for Enzo Maresca and has 14 direct goal involvements this season.
Real Madrid are set to sign some quality defenders this summer. But, they are also showing interest to bring in some new midfielders. Toni Kross left last summer whereas Luka Modric may depart at the end of this season.
Earlier, there were reports that Madrid may part ways with Tchouameni this summer. In addition, Eduardo Camavinga is also being looked upon by multiple clubs. This will then need a proper replacement as soon as possible. As of now, they have one Chelsea star linked with a summer move.
Real Madrid linked with Argentine midfielder
According to Simon Phillips who reported on his substack, Madrid are showing strong interest in Enzo Fernandez. This is not the first time that the Argentine is linked with move to Spanish capital. Los Blancos were also linked with the player in January transfer window.
Earlier, there were reports that Chelsea may demand as high as €80 million for Fernandez. They may infact demand more considering the player’s age, contract and role at West London. He is still only 24 years old and tied to Chelsea with contract running until 2032.
Fernandez has played 33 games this season under Enzo Maresca. He has responded well to the Italian’s tactics. So far the Argentine has scored 5 goals and picked 9 assists in 33 games. He is also a regular for Argentina national team for whom he has played 34 games till date.
Chelsea may make Fernandez unavailable in this summer but they can still lose him if the player himself forces the move. The Argentine earlier had some really good things to say about Madrid whom he labelled ‘big club’.
