Rising Scotland starlet Rory Wilson is set to pen a new long-term deal with Aston Villa.
The former Rangers youngster is out-of-contract this summer and has attracted significant interest from other British and European giants. But Villa chiefs regard Wilson as one of the club's hottest prospects and have convinced the teenage sensation to pledge his future to the club, according to the Daily Record.
It's believed the English Premier League side have held talks with Wilson's representatives over recent weeks, and the 19-year-old is now close to agreeing on a bumper new deal until the summer of 2028.
The Scotland under-21 cap has yet to make his senior debut but has been a regular for Villa's youth teams, notching an incredible 46 goals in 52 games last season.
Now, the prolific striker - who arrived from Ibrox for £400k in the summer of 2022 - will hope to force his way into Unai Emery’s plans in the coming years after being assured there is a first-team pathway for him at Villa Park.
