Brenda Song is singing the Los Angeles Lakers’ praises — so much so she once ended up in the hospital!
In a guest spot on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the Running Point actress, 36, broke down the extent of her fandom.
“We were always fortunate to go to Lakers games,” the former Disney star told the American Idol alum. “I literally went to the hospital watching a Lakers game at home because I hyperventilated because I’m a crazy person.”
Hudson — herself a huge NBA fan — then asked Song to further review the experience.
“You know, I was watching a game, and I just so happened to take a sip of water and they scored,” Song began. “So I just kept taking a sip of water every time they had the ball, ‘cause then they would score, and then we won, and I hyperventilated and I had to literally be taken to the hospital.”
She added, “So I like to say I’m a die-hard fan, literally.”

Growing up in Southern California, however, Song and her family once rooted for the Chicago Bulls, a team near and dear to Hudson’s heart, since it’s her hometown.
“I love the Lakers, I grew up a Chicago Bulls fan, my dad and my brothers, they loved Michael Jordan,” Song shared. “Dennis Rodman was my favorite player.”
But her love for the Bulls apparently had bounds, and now she roots for the LeBron and Luka-led team.
In January — hours after her fiancée Macaulay Culkin’s brother Kieran scored his first Oscar nomination — the couple sat courtside at Crypto.com Arena and watched the home team take on the defending champs, the Boston Celtics.
Song sported a Kobe Bryant tee and distressed denim, while the Home Alone star wore black-framed eyeglasses and a denim jacket, and both appeared to be in great spirits for the outing.
When Hudson asked about her just how big a fan she is, Song summed it up.
“I mean, I have a Lakers championship ring kind-of-huge,” the star replied.
