The Bengals today signed unrestricted free agent HB Samaje Perine to a two-year contract through the 2026 season.
Perine (5-11, 240), a ninth-year player out of the University of Oklahoma, originally was a fourth-round draft pick of Washington in 2017. He previously has spent time with Washington (2017-18), Cincinnati ('19, '20-22), Miami ('19), Denver ('23) and Kansas City ('24). In 110 career regular-season games (12 starts), he has 474 rushing attempts for 1922 yards (4.1-yard average) and nine TDs, along with 179 receptions for 1513 yards (8.5) and seven TDs. He also has returned eight kickoffs for 224 yards (28.0).
In his previous stints with the Bengals, Perine saw action in 54 regular-season games with three starts and recorded 213 carries for 914 yards and six TDs, along with 76 catches for 549 yards and five TDs. He also played in seven postseason contests and totaled 142 yards from scrimmage (60 rushing, 82 receiving), with both a rushing TD and a receiving TD.
