Stephen Curry Set to Make NBA History During Warriors-Kings

The Golden State Warriors enter Thursday night's matchup against the Sacramento Kings looking to extend their winning streak, but their superstar player also enters the game chasing NBA history.

Golden State has been one of the hottest teams in the NBA since the trade deadline and they enter Thursday's game amid a five-game winning streak and they have also won nine of their last 10 contests.

Of course, the Warriors have turned their season around since they acquired Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat at the trade deadline and the new star duo of him and Stephen Curry has worked out perfectly thus far.

They will now look to pick up another victory against a struggling Kings team and Curry can also make NBA history in Thursday's matchup.

Entering Thursday's game, Curry sits just two three-point makes away from reaching 4,000 career made triples in the regular season.

Curry is the NBA's all-time leader in three-pointers made with 3,998 and if he is able to knock down two shots from behind the arc on Thursday night, he would become the first player in league history to reach 4,000 career regular season threes.

Of course, it is very likely that Curry will reach the record in Thursday's game against the Kings as he is averaging 4.5 made threes per game this season for the Warriors.

This would be just another incredible historic milestone for Curry as he has become to be known to most people as the greatest shooter in NBA history, and he may eventually make the three-point record unbreakable by the end of his future Hall of Fame career.

Fans can catch Thursday night's matchup between the Kings and Warriors from the Chase Center at 10:00 p.m. EST and they may also witness NBA history if Curry is able to make two three-pointers in the game.
