Aston Villa face PSG in the quarter-finals of the Champions League
Aston Villa are enjoying their best European campaign since the glory years of the 1980s when they defied expectations to win the European Cup against Bayern Munich under the management of Tony Barton.
Villa were huge underdogs heading into that final in the 1980s and are aiming to once again defy expectations under an experienced head coach in Unai Emery, who is more than familiar with the demands of the latter stages of European competitions after winning four Europa Leagues across spells with Sevilla and Villarreal while also falling short in the final with Arsenal.
