Arsenal's incoming sporting director has urged the hierarchy to recruit Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha this summer, according to Givemesport.
The Gunners are expected to make several signings during the next transfer window. A marquee striker is the main priority, but the club could also recruit a versatile winger.
It is now reported that Berta spoke about his fondness for Cunha during his interview with the Gunners. He would like to bring him to the club as his first summer purchase.
Cunha was on the Gunners' radar during the recent transfer window, but the club did not make a formal approach for his services before the deadline.
However, they could be tempted to return for him in the summer, considering a £60m release clause in his contract will become active from July 1.
Cunha, who has managed 19 goal contributions for Wolves this campaign, would be a fabulous signing. He is comfortable playing anywhere in the final third.
