The Georgian goalkeeper has spent this season at Valencia where he has struggled at times as his side continue to fight to stay in La Liga.
But Mamardashvili is still regarded as one of the best young goalkeeping prospects in European football. He showcased his quality last season and then produced some incredible performances at Euro 2024 to further prove that point guiding Georgia to a historic place in the tournament.

At just 24 years of age he is still very young for a goalkeeper and has plenty of time to be ready to replace Alisson Becker as Liverpool's first choice goalkeeper, but Mamardashvili is setting himself lofty targets.
Giorgi Mamardashvili ready for next Liverpool step
On the Anfield Watch YouTube channel former Dinamo Tbilisi scout, Mikha Gabechava spoke in detail about Mamardashvili and whether the Georgian is ready for the next step at Anfield.
Gabechava not only worked for Mamardashvili's former club in Dinamo, but he was also employed by his agency and played a role in getting him to be represented by his current intermediary.
As a result, he knows the Liverpool bound goalkeeper very well and when he was asked whether Mamardashvili is ready to make the step up to Anfield he gave an emphatic answer.
"That's a good question. I think people have asked him that question as well to which he basically responded that he was ready to step up and play immediately," Gabechava told Anfield Watch exclusively.
"And I think if he says so, then that's right. So I would then agree and say that he would be ready to be Liverpool's number one goalkeeper if Liverpool decide to play him as number one."
Of course this would be a major next step for Mamardashvili and it's entirely dependent on the future of Alisson.
"But once again, if Liverpool decide to keep Alisson, I think it's no question that he [Mamardashvili] must join a Premier League club on loan and well no other club," Gabechava said.
"Not like in Bundesliga or Serie A or somewhere else in Laga. I think it must be a Premier League club just for him to adapt to the environment. And probably after that one loan, he will be the number one goalkeeper for Liverpool."

The door is definitely open for Mamardashvili to take his chance, but with Alisson in great form it will take some gargantuan performances for him to oust the Brazilian from the no.1 spot at Liverpool this summer.
