Falcons re-sign veteran tackle Brandon Parker

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons re-signed offensive tackle Brandon Parker, the organization announced Thursday.

Parker first signed with the Falcons on Sept. 10, 2024 but never saw any live action throughout last season. He has played both left and right tackle at times during his NFL career, and that versatility makes him a valuable depth piece for Atlanta.

The 2018 third-round draft pick previously spent all of his active career with the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders drafted Parker when they were still based in Oakland, California, and Parker remained with the team when it moved to Las Vegas.

Parker has 33 starts and 59 game appearances on his resume, which also features two fumble recoveries. He played in at least 11 games in each season from 2018-21, seeing a high of 882 (77%) offensive snaps in 2021 and a low of 193 (28%) offensive snaps in 2019. Parker did not see the field in 2022, spending the season on injured reserve, but returned to work later on in 2023 with five games for 14 (4%) offensive snaps. He made the most of three practice squad elevations and was then signed to the active roster.

The Raiders let Parker hit free agency when the 2023 league year concluded. He signed with the San Francisco 49ers during the 2024 preseason but did not make the 53-man roster cut.

Parker is 29 years old and originally from Kannapolis, North Carolina. He stands at 6-foot-8 and weights in 320 pounds.

The Falcons return all but one member of their starting offensive line from 2024. Center Drew Dalman hit free agency and has reportedly signed with the Chicago Bears. Otherwise, from left to right, tackle Jake Matthews, guard Matthew Bergeron, guard Chris Lindstrom and tackle Kaleb McGary are all still on the roster.
