Manchester United are preparing to face major European interest in one of their long-standing stars this summer, with plans already in motion to sign his replacement.
The Red Devils are expected to make wholesale changes to their squad this summer although they will first be required to raise funds by selling players.

While United are hoping that they can avoid cashing in on their top players, the club are willing to listen to offers for virtually their entire squad as they look to fix their financial issues and restructure the wage bill.
United’s situation has led to interest in Diogo Dalot, with TEAMtalk" href="https://www.teamtalk.com/manchester-united/bayern-munich-join-growing-race-sign-consistent-united-star-loved-by-teammates" target="_blank">TEAMtalk claiming that Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have been impressed by the full-back’s consistency and adaptability.
Dalot has not missed a game due to injury in more than two years but the 25-year-old has proven unconvincing as a complete right wing-back under Ruben Amorim and could be relegated to a backup in the summer if United achieve their aim of strengthening in that area.
Such an outcome could see Dalot consider ending his seven-year stint at Old Trafford, particularly with United already looking at replacements and the emerging interest from some of Europe’s top sides.

United eye De Winter as Dalot replacement
United will look to sign a right wing-back as a priority this summer, with Sporting’s Geovany Quenda believed to be Amorim’s top target, although reports in Italy have linked the club to Genoa’s Koni de Winter in recent days.
De Winter has primarily featured as a centre-back for Genoa this season but his versatility has led to attention from a number of sides including United for around €30 million.
The 22-year-old would likely prove to be a cheaper option than Quenda, although United are said to face serious competition from Inter and Roma as well as fellow Premier League sides Tottenham and West Ham.
Dalot, meanwhile, still has more than three years remaining on his contract and would command a significant fee if United were to cash in on him.
Bayern would represent a more realistic option than Real, who would only consider Dalot as a target if their protracted free transfer for Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold fails to materialise.
