Former Sooner is now a Dallas Cowboy

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - Former Sooner stand-out, is now a Cowboy, and before you panic it’s not because the player is now in Stillwater. This player is headed back to Texas, where he’s originally from. On Wednesday the Dallas Cowboys announced they traded for Kenneth Murray - a former 1st round pick.

Murray last played for the Tennessee Titans where he recorded a career high in Sacks (3.5) and started in all 14 games he played in.

Going into year six, he’ll now be with the Cowboys, Murray spent his first four years with the team he was drafted to, the Los Angeles Chargers.

During his rookie season Murray was selected to the PFWA All-Rookie team, after leading the Chargers in tackles in his rookie season with 107.

Nobody can replace Demarcus Lawrence, who recently parted ways to go sign with the Seahawks, but Murray who’s a foresure tackler and proven linebacker in the NFL will help the defense with a more sideline-to-sideline defensive scheme.
