Manchester United are scouting the world to bring top young talent to Old Trafford.
Since INEOS have taken charge, the club’s recruitment team have begun prioritising exciting young stars with significant potential.
As such, the likes of Leny Yoro, Ayden Heaven, Patrick Dorgu and Chido Obi have all been signed by United in the last 12 months.
Now looking towards the summer, it’s been reported that the Red Devils have been monitoring another young defender.
This time round it’s Rosario Central’s Juan Gimenez, an exciting 18 year-old from Argentina.
The youngster has already made 21 appearances for Rosario, also being recognised on the national stage playing for Argentina‘s under-20s team.
However, United’s interest in the 18 year-old might not be as far along as first thought.
Argentinian publication Pagina12 has now reported that Rosario Central have not been made aware through any official channels of Manchester United’s interest.
The report goes so far to say that the club’s management have “denied any offer or interest” from any club, not just Manchester United.
It’s understood that the Argentinian side are facing financial struggles so need to make sales in order to ease their financial pressures.
As such, if Manchester United do go knocking for Juan Gimenez, a deal might be considered, however no such conversations have taken place so far.
