Liverpool are set for a summer shake-up in their forward line. Arne Slot and Richard Hughes are planning a transfer market overhaul with several first-team stars in the firing line.

Anfield Watch brought you the news thatDiogo Jota topped the list of expendable Liverpool players this summer. The 28-year-old has been frequently unavailable this season due to injury andhasn’t been able to impress either in his recent outings.

Darwin Nunez is also facing the exit door withLiverpool close to agreeing a deal with Al Nassr and Al Hilal in the winter transfer window. FSG ultimately decided against selling the Uruguayan as a result of a lack of alternatives.

But if any interested parties put forward around €75 million in summer then the 25-year-old will be on his way.

Meanwhile there is continuing uncertainty over Mohamed Salah with the Egyptian King out of contract in summer 2025. If no new deal is agreed then he too will be on his way.

Chiesa 'CERTAIN' to leave

And one other player who now looks CERTAIN to depart is Federico Chiesa. The Italian winger joined from Juventus last summer in what was initially seen as an opportunistic deal.

Howeverthe 27-year-old has come nowhere close to reaching expectations at Anfield. The Euro 2020 winner has only played three games in the Premier League to date andis in danger of missing out on a winner’s medalwithout further participation.

He was trusted to lead the line in an FA Cup defeat to Plymouth and has failed to convince Slot of his qualities. Chiesa has got a contract until 2028 and is on a sizeable salary - said to be around £8m per year - which he hasn’t been able to justify.

Anfield Watch reported in January thatChiesa was having trouble settling on Merseyside and had informed the club that he wished for a return to Serie A. No deal came to pass despite links with AC Milan, Inter, Atalanta, Fiorentina, Napoli and Roma.

Chiesa's next destination uncertain

But on the basis of that list, the forward won’t be short of suitors this summer.

Tuttomercatoweb is now reporting that Liverpool are CERTAIN that Chiesa will be leaving the club this summer although his destination isn’t yet clear-cut.

“At 28 years old (sic), Chiesa should be at the height of his footballing maturity today, but instead, at this moment, he is a player relegated to the bench and already certain that in the summer he will have to pack up and find another place,” a report reads.

“In Liverpool they are certain of his farewell in the summer. Yes, but at what price? And who wants Chiesa today, also taking into account a salary that is anything but trivial?”

In total Chiesa has played 10 times for Liverpool, scoring one goal and adding two assists.
