Manchester United have been “offered” former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane, according to reports.
The German international’s £243,000 a week contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of the season and it is looking increasingly likely that he will leave the Allianz Arena on a free transfer.
Sane is believed to be considering his options and TBRFootball claim that the Red Devils are one of five Premier League clubs who have been informed about his availability.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle are also said to have been contacted about the possibility of signing the 29-year-old this summer.
United need to strengthen their options up front
Sane can play on either wing, and there is no doubt that head coach Ruben Amorim would be open to having a player of his calibre in his squad.
The likes of Antony and Marcus Rashford could be offloaded on a permanent basis when this campaign is over so there is need to reinforce numbers up top.
With Sane being available on a free as well, it could prove to be an attractive deal, considering the limited funds that the club will have to bring in new signings.
Sane may have to lower his salary demands
Minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe spoke out this week about the club’s dire finances. He emphasised that United are keen on lowering their wage bill.
For that reason, it would be a surprise if the Red Devils sanctioned Sane’s signing on his current wage. If the German is interested in returning to Manchester, he may have to accept a pay cut. That doesn’t look like a possibility at the moment so fans shouldn’t expect him to be wearing a Red shirt next season.
