Joe Flacco Visits the New York Giants; Team Re-Signs Aaron Stinnie

**JOE FLACCO VISITS NEW YORK GIANTS…**

_ESPN_ is reporting that unrestricted free agent QB **Joe Flacco** (Indianapolis Colts) visited the New York Giants on Thursday. This follows earlier reports that said unrestricted free agent QB **Russell Wilson** (Pittsburgh Steelers) will visit the Giants on Friday.

The 40-year old Flacco has played 17 seasons in the NFL, including with the Baltimore Ravens (2008-2018), Denver Broncos (2019), New York Jets (2020, 2021-2022), Philadelphia Eagles (2021), Cleveland Browns (2023), and Colts (2024). He has started 191 regular-season games, throwing for 45,697 yards and 257 touchdowns.

Wilson met the Cleveland Browns on Thursday. This is the second offseason in a row that Wilson will have met with the Giants. The 36-year old Wilson has played 13 seasons in the NFL, mostly with the the Seattle Seahawks (2012-2021), followed by two seasons with the Denver Broncos (2022-2023), and one season in Pittsburgh (2024). He has started all 199 regular-seasons games that he has played in, throwing for 46,135 yards and 350 touchdowns. Wilson has been voted to the Pro Bowl ten times.

The Giants are turning to Flacco and Wilson after their attempts to trade for Los Angeles Rams quarterback **Matthew Stafford** fell through and their attempts to sign free agent quarterback **Aaron Rodgers** have not yet succeeded. Rodgers is also being pursued by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The only quarterback on the Giants’ roster right now is **Tommy DeVito**.

**NEW YORK GIANTS RE-SIGN AARON STINNIE…**

The New York Giants have re-signed unrestricted free agent OG **Aaron Stinnie**. Terms of the deal are not yet known.

The Giants signed Stinnie as an unrestricted free agent from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March 2024. He played in 16 games with three starts at left guard late in the season. He missed one game due to a concussion.

The 6’3”, 312-pound Stinnie was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent after the 2018 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. The Titans waived him in November 2019 and he was then claimed by the Buccaneers. In his six NFL seasons, Stinnie has played in 45 regular-season games with 15 starts, 11 of which came in 2023. Stinnie is a tough, physical player with athletic limitations.

**ADOREE’ JACKSON SIGNS WITH THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES…**

New York Giants unrestricted free agent CB Adoree’ Jackson has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Terms of the deal are not yet known.

The Giants took an odd approach with Jackson in 2024. After a very disappointing season in 2023, the Giants chose to not re-sign him for almost six months until the end of August. Jackson played sporadically through the first 11 games, missing three games with calf and neck injuries. He then started the next five games before splitting time in the finale. In all, Jackson played in 14 games with five starts, finishing with 28 tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and five pass defenses. Jackson played 47 percent of the defensive snaps in those 14 games, and was decent in coverage. However, he was flagged four times for pass interference.

Jackson was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the 1st round of the 2017 NFL Draft. The Giants signed Jackson in March 2021 after he was cut by the Titans. His four years with the Giants have been an injury-prone, up-and-down affair. Jackson has missed games for six consecutive years, and all four years with the Giants.
