Manchester United fans have insisted that Ruben Amorim has a “class” player who delivered a “proper impressive” display against Real Sociedad on Thursday evening.
Ruben Amorim’s men punched their ticket to the quarter-finals of the Europa League after Manchester United thumped 10-man Real Sociedad 4-1 at Old Trafford.
United played out a 1-1 draw against Sociedad last Thursday in the first-leg round-of-16 tie at the Reale Arena in Spain ahead of hosting the La Liga club.
Amorim’s side came from 1-0 down after Mikel Oyarzabal opened the scoring for Sociedad from a penalty thanks to a stunning performance from Bruno Fernandes.
Bruno Fernandes cancelled out Mikel Oyarzabal’s opener six minutes later with his penalty effort and United and Sociedad went into the break level at Old Trafford.
The 30-year-old United captain then netted his brace only five minutes into the second half with a second spot-kick conversion before completing his hat-trick.
Sociedad were reduced to 10 men with Jon Aramburu’s sending off after the break and Diogo Dalot added his name to the scoresheet for United in injury time.

Man Utd fans’ reaction to Ayden Heaven’s performance vs Real Sociedad in the Europa League
Ruben Amorim made the big call to pick Ayden Heaven for his first Europa League start for Manchester United since his arrival at Old Trafford in February.
Ayden Heaven left Arsenal and signed for United as part of the Red Devils’ youth academy, but the ex-Gunners player has already broken into the first team.
United manager Amorim handed Heaven his Red Devils debut in the Premier League club’s FA Cup defeat to Fulham at Old Trafford earlier this month.
Heaven then made his Premier League debut for the Red Devils last Sunday after he came on in the second half for United’s 1-1 draw against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Following his performance against former side Arsenal last Sunday, the 18-year-old United defender saw out the full 90 minutes against Spanish side Real Sociedad.
United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, were blown away by the absolute “heist” they pulled off by signing Heaven from Arsenal.
Ayden Heaven’s game by numbers vs. Real Sociedad:
100% duels won
88% pass accuracy
4 passes into the final third
4 clearances
3 tackles attempted
3 tackles won
2 interceptions
0 x dribbled past
0 fouls
0 errors

“Ayden Heaven for £1m… what a heist,” one X user wrote.
Someone else commented: “Ayden Heaven is unbelievable. We need to balance Arsenal at least £40m.”
“Ayden Heaven – bargain deal. Class, confidence, composure,” another said.
A fourth United fan posted: “Can’t let that Ayden Heaven performance go unnoticed. What a player.”
While a fifth Red Devils supporter added: “Ayden Heaven could be a steal from Arsenal, proper impressive so far.”
“Ayden Heaven is further proof that we still have our ‘Carrington will provide’ cheat code,” somebody else tweeted.
Another claimed: “After two games, Ayden Heaven is already worth at least [five times] more than we paid for him. Recruitment is KEY [sic].”
An eighth suggested: “What a bargain deal for Manchester United in the past winter. Ayden Heaven signed for Manchester United in January out of nowhere, and he’s been quite solid in his first full start in a European game.”

Ruben Amorim sends clear message about Man Utd’s Europa League campaign
Speaking after the result against Sociedad at Old Trafford, Amorim said that United must continue to “improve” both in the Premier League and the Europa League.
“We have a lot of games in the Premier League,” he told TNT Sports, as per BBC Sport.
“In my head, we are going to use every minute to improve the team. Against Lyon, it will be a different game the physicality is there.
“They play in a league which is so physical. It doesn’t have the same quality, but it is going to be a different game.”
United will now face French side Lyon at Old Trafford for their first-leg Europa League quarter-final clash on 10th April.
