Oleksandr Zinchenko has admitted he is uncertain about his long-term future at Arsenal but remains fully committed to helping the team in any capacity for the remainder of the season.

The Ukrainian left-back will enter the final year of his contract this summer, with no discussions yet regarding an extension. Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed on Tuesday that talks with Zinchenko will take place at the end of the season, following reports that Borussia Dortmund had shown interest in signing him during the January transfer window.

Zinchenko has struggled for regular game time this season, making just his fifth start in Wednesday’s 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven. When asked about his future, the 28-year-old admitted he was unsure of what lies ahead.

“I don’t know yet, to be honest,” Zinchenko said. “If I knew, I could tell you. There’s still a long way to go until the end of the season. We are at the most important part of the campaign, where every game is like a final, and you never know what is going to happen in football.”

Having primarily played as a left-back since joining Arsenal, Zinchenko was deployed in midfield against PSV, a position he regularly occupies for Ukraine. He made an impact by scoring Arsenal’s opening goal, showcasing his versatility and willingness to adapt to the team’s needs.

“Honestly, I am so happy to be part of this amazing club and team,” he said. “It is a joy to be close to these guys. Wherever the team and the head coach need me, I am there. In any position, I am ready to help.”

Zinchenko even joked about his commitment to the squad, adding: “Even if I’m in the stands, I’ll try to make an impact as much as I can—whether it’s pushing the others, giving someone a hug, whatever! It is really a joy to be here.”
