Kim Kardashian’s marriage to Kris Humphries has gone down as one of the most infamous celebrity marriages of all time. Now, she just revealed she bought her own ring.

Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian’s 2011 marriage was certainly one that went down in reality show history. The model and former NBA star were married for just over two months before they realized their happily ever after was not meant to be, and the divorce became pretty messy.
To this day, Kardashian and Humphries aren’t on great terms. And she just put him on blast for not even paying for her engagement ring when he proposed all those years ago.

Kim Kardashian revealed on ‘The Kardashians’ that she bought her own engagement ring
Kardashian and Humphries’ relationship ended as quickly as it started; the two didn’t date for long before Humphries proposed. The couple was introduced by one of Humphries New York Nets teammates at the time, Jordan Farmar. By October of 2010, they were in a relationship, and in May 2011, Humphries popped the question. The two planned a wedding quickly, tying the knot in a televised ceremony in October 2011, having only known each other for a year. But that’s where the fairytale ended.
Now, in a recent episode of The Kardashians on Hulu, Kardashian revisited her marriage and revealed something shocking: She paid for her own engagement ring. During the episode, Kardashian was talking about her engagement rings of the past, and she said that the $2 million Lorraine Schwartz ring didn’t exactly come from Humphries. “He paid for one fifth of it,” Kardashian said during the episode, meaning that of the $2 million price tag, Kardashian covered $1.6 million.
Then, Kardashian said that he demanded the ring back in the divorce and suggested he wouldn’t go through with the divorce if she didn’t give him the ring. “I was pregnant with North, still married to him, and in order to divorce him, he said I had to give him the ring in my divorce,” Kardashian said, referring to being pregnant with her firstborn daughter, North West.

While it’s unclear whether a fourth husband is in Kardashian’s future, she doesn’t seem opposed to the idea. She joked about having a “last and final hurrah,” referring to marrying one last time, which is how the engagement ring conversation came to be.
Kardashian also revealed that she still has her first 14-carat engagement ring from Damon Thomas as well as a 15-carat ring from ex-husband Kanye West. Kardashian’s other upgraded engagement ring from West, which was 20 carats, was stolen in Paris in 2016. For now, Kardashian has some time to think about what her next ring might look like while she decides whether or not she wants to settle down again.
