Former Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, who signed with the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent, has given his former team a controversial clip on his way out of The Star.
Lawrence is known for making headline comments like his "burned out" and "the legs get tired"thoughts after the playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers. Well, now he's made another one, and this might sting for Cowboys Nation.
Lawrence was being interviewed by Brian Nemhauser, and he made a comment that, while brutal to his former employer, provides an insight into how the franchise is being run.
"Even though Dallas is my home, made my home there, my family lives there,'' said D-Law in a video going viral, "I'm forever going to be there but, I know for sure I'm not gonna win a Super Bowl there."
That is quite the statement from Lawrence, but we do offer this.
Is Lawrence in a better position to win a Super Bowl in Seattle after DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Geno Smith have been moved on than in Dallas next year?
That is quite a conversation starter.

But so, too, are D-Law's comments and the fact that he views the Cowboys as this far away from winning a championship. Maybe the nickel and dim'ing in free agency was wearing thin for the Pro Bowler.

With Stephen Jones' "selective aggressive" words ringing in our ears, maybe Lawrence moved on from the Cowboys because he saw how "unserious" the franchise appears to be in putting together a roster capable of challenging for a Super Bowl.
But one thing is crystal clear - Lawrence doesn't think Dallas is close to contending and said it publicly, which from a former player, who spent his entire career with the Cowboys, is a rather damning indictment.
