It simply wouldn't be an NFL offseason without some Dallas Cowboys drama, and boy, we have gotten two big slices of it in the space of a few hours.
DeMarcus Lawrence, an 11-year Cowboys veteran, was heading to free agency, and the Seattle Seahawks snapped him up on a three-year, $32.5 million deal. D-Law took a nasty parting shot at his former employer on the way out.
Lawrence stated that he would always love Dallas but then added that he won't win a Super Bowl there. Of course, that drew some rather intense reactions, and one has been from fellow defender Micah Parsons.
Having seen Lawrence's comments, Parsons took to X and made his feelings known about what his now former teammate said.
"This what rejection and envy look like! This some clown (expletive)! "
And don't think that Lawrence was going to go quietly into that goodnight after Micah's comment, and D-Law gave Micah both barrels as he responded.
"Calling me a clown won't change the fact that I told the truth. Maybe if you spent less time tweeting and more time winning, I wouldn't have left."
Mic drop. ...
Except for one gigantic Cowboys problem - and one that our Mike Fisher has been reporting on for years: The Cowboys locker room thinks of itself as a "brotherhood,'' but ...
"It's all BS,'' Fish writes, "and then don't even know it. This has been brewing for quite some time - a wrestling match over leadership styles, young vs. old, and it's all selfishness.
"These guys have no idea what a 'brotherhood' is.''

This is beginning to get rather messy now. Less than 48 hours ago, Parsons and Lawrence were teammates, and now they are at each other's throats on social media.
To Fish's point: We've heard so often about the "brotherhood" within the locker room on recent, and yet it has taken no less than 24 hours for things to hit the fan in a big way.
So was that "brotherhood" real? Or was it something that was said to keep the wolves at bay?
Well, those wolves have broken through that door, with Micah and Lawrence in an online feud in the offseason, because, of course, right?
Fish calls it "#53Brands,'' meaning that every guy is in it for himself, looking for his corporate sponsor and his podcast deal and his money.
We are now seeing that truth being exposed.
This generation of #Cowboys - God bless 'em - have no (obscenity) clue what a 'BROTHERHOOD' really means. And they are now showing their asses as proof.

On the one hand, it maybe just shows how quickly things can turn, and it appears that right now, it has gone south in a hurry and we imagine that this won't be the last we hear of it if Micah has anything to say about it.
On the other hand? Maybe it hasn't "turned'' at all. Maybe this is simply the way the Cowboys locker room works - or, when it comes to true "brotherhood,'' doesn't work.
