Jonathan Kuminga Sports New Look in Injury Return For Warriors

The Golden State Warriors will host the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night as they try to extend their winning streak to six games.

Golden State enters the contest as one of the hottest teams in the NBA since the trade deadline as they have won five consecutive games and nine of their past 10 contests.

The Warriors also received great news ahead of Thursday's Western Conference showdown with the struggling Kings as they announced that Jonathan Kuminga will be available for the game.

Of course, Kuminga has been out since Jan. 4 due to an ankle injury and his return could not come at a more perfect time for the Warriors. With the playoffs right around the corner, the young forward will give the Warriors another reliable scorer and defender as they try to continue to climb the West standings.

Not only will Kuminga return on Thursday for the Warriors, but he will also be debuting a new look in the matchup.

Ahead of the game, NBC Sports' Dalton Johnson posted a video of Kuminga warming up and sporting a headband. Of course, Kumina has not worn a headband this season, but he decided it was time for a change with his return to the lineup.

The new-look Kuminga will now look to provide an extra spark to the Warriors for the rest of the regular season and heading into the playoffs.

Before his injury, Kuminga was averaging 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 45.9% from the field and 34.5% from three-point range.

The 22-year-old was putting together the best season of his career thus far before his injury, but it will be interesting to see his role with Jimmy Butler now on the roster.

Despite this, Kuminga should still see a large role alongside Butler and Stephen Curry as he looks to help the Warriors chase another title this season.
