Bills’ Josh Allen Jokes About $5 Million Discount On New Contract

Buffalo Bills franchise quarterback and reigning league MVP Josh Allen didn't want to hurt the team too much with his record six-year, $330 million extension.

Even though his annual average of $55 million is $5 million less than the record of Dak Prescott.

"It's weird to say this, but what is $5 million more going to do for my life that I can't already do right now. It's not that crazy to me," Allen said Wednesday. "I was like, if it has any impact on the cap, let's figure out a way to not do that."

Allen's always kept his thoughts about Buffalo close to him. He's also had tremendous wins off the field this year. He got engaged to Hollywood superstar Hailey Steinfeld. During the press conference in which he announced his deal, Allen was asked if a bigger ring was coming for his fiance.

"A bigger ring, you said?" Allen chuckled. "No, I think she likes the one she's got.

"I'm so grateful for what's going on in my life and finding the person that I want to share it with. When you have that piece figured out, it seems like everything else kind of comes a little bit easier."

All things are coming up for Allen.

He's living up life as one of the best quarterbacks in football and has a beautiful future wife to come home to. In that regard, $5 million less on an annual average certainly isn't something to get worked up about.

As long as a Super Bowl ring is in his future as well.
