Arsenal have been linked to a £50m-rated attacker alongside Man United and Liverpool.

Arsenal look set to make a splash in the summer transfer window as they have been touted to sign both a striker and a winger. The Gunners will hope to end their season on a high, as they have the chance to knock reigning Champions League winners Real Madrid out of the competition in the quarter-finals.

Chelsea meanwhile, hope to finish in a Champions League place in the Premier League, and they have a chance to close the gap to Arsenal in a game at the Emirates this weekend. Arsenal will be keen to improve in the summer to catch up to Liverpool, but they may have to battle them to sign a Premier League star.

Arsenal in race for Gibbs-White

Arsenal have been linked to Nottingham Forest attacker Morgan Gibbs-White after he has impressed at the City Ground this season. The former Wolves man made his debut for the England national team this season and has scored five goals for Forest in 24 Premier League appearances. He has also contributed six assists.

According to a fresh report by Caught Offside, Arsenal are amongst a group of several Premier League clubs that are keen to sign the 25-year-old. Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham are also said to be keen.

The report says that Forest don’t want to sell Gibbs-White, and have begun talks with him for a new contract. It is understood that an offer of around £50 million, could be enough to tempt the Midlands club to sell the attacker.

Gibbs-White can play in several positions, both as a winger and a central midfielder, his versatility could come in very useful for Mikel Arteta.

Sancho’s future at Chelsea in doubt

Whilst Arsenal are looking at potential arrivals, Chelsea are reportedly looking at a potential departure in the form of Man United loanee Jadon Sancho.

It was understood that when the Blues signed him on loan from Old Trafford, they had agreed a fee of between £20m and £25m which they would have to pay after his loan deal expired at the end of the season.

However, reports have emerged that suggest that they may have a choice not to keep the winger if they so choose. According to the Mail, there is a loophole in the deal in which Chelsea could choose to pay a penalty which would result in Sancho being sent back to United.

Sancho is yet to agree a deal with Chelsea, and so the Blues could decide against his transfer in the summer. However, he has become a big part of Enzo Maresca’s plans, especially considering the injury to Noni Madueke.

The 24-year-old has made 26 appearances for the Blues in all competitions this season, scoring two goals and recording six assists.

For your next Chelsea read, the Blues are reportedly plotting a £50 million bid for a Barcelona star.
