Arsenal welcome Chelsea to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon as they aim to keep hold of their second-place spot in the Premier League table.
They got through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League this week by beating PSV Eindhoven 9-3 on aggregate in the round of 16. They will play Real Madrid in the next round.
Chelsea will be hoping to win on Sunday to help their goal of finishing in a Champions League spot. They are currently fourth in the Premier League table, six points off Arsenal. Both teams have injuries as they both currently could be missing four players each for the game at the Emirates on Sunday.
Chelsea injury news
The Blues have three players who have already been ruled out of the game on Sunday with one name a doubt. Striker Marc Guiu has been ruled out as he is recovering from a hamstring injury that he suffered at the start of February, he will likely return after the March international break.
Nicolas Jackson is on a similar timeline to Guiu, he is also dealing with a similar hamstring injury. He will also be out for Sunday, and is looking at a return after the international break.
Noni Madueke has also been ruled out of the Arsenal game, he looks set to miss Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad as he continues to recover from his hamstring injury.
Finally, defender Malo Gusto is a doubt as he recovers from a knock. He is currently being assessed, but his issue forced him to miss the Blues’ 1-0 win against Leicester over the weekend. Cole Palmer was labelled as ill despite playing against the Foxes but he came off the bench against FC Copenhagen, suggesting he has recovered from that minor setback.
