Crystal Palace will not be under pressure to cash in on Adam Wharton in the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The Eagles are well aware of interest from the likes of Liverpool and Man City – with Spanish giants Real Madrid also among the sides linked with the 21-year-old.

Wharton has missed much of this season with a groin injury but has shown quality since his return to action.

He impressed from the first moment after making the step up to the Premier League with Palace last year (2024) after they signed him from Blackburn in the mid-season window.

Crystal Palace not under pressure to cash in on Wharton

Oliver Glasner’s side have England international Wharton under a long-term contract running until June 2029.

As such, it is believed the Eagles will not be under pressure to cash in on the defensive midfielder despite interest from Europe’s biggest clubs.

Crystal Palace plan to sign three more teenage sensations

Football Insider has been told by industry insider Mick Brown (3 March) that Crystal Palace are plotting deals to sign Tyler Dibling, Jobe Bellingham and Chris Rigg.

Palace want to sign Southampton’s Dibling and are prepared to rival the likes of Tottenham, Man United and Newcastle for his signature.

Palace have seen success in this model previously with the signings of Eberechi Eze, Marc Guehi, Michael Olise and Wharton and are now keen to replicate those deals.
