Chelsea fans all saying same thing about Moises Caicedo after performance vs Copenhagen,‘unmatched’point made

During Chelsea’s pretty forgettable win over Copenhagen in the Conference League, Moises Caicedo did stand out for his individual performance at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have set up a quarter-final clash against Legia Warsaw in the Conference League after beating Copenhagen 3-1 on aggregate across the two legs.

The Blues won 2-1 away to Copenhagen earlier in March in the first leg. On Thursday night, Enzo Maresca’s side wrapped up a 1-0 victory to extend their journey in Europe this season.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall starred in Chelsea’s player ratings versus Copenhagen because it was his brilliant individual goal that secured the midweek win.

Chelsea supporters on social media raved about Moises Caicedo after his individual display in midfield against Copenhagen.

In fact, Blues fans agree that their 23-year-old star is “unmatched” and the world’s best defensive midfielder right now.

“I’ll say it again, Caicedo is the best midfielder in the world,” another said.

“Caicedo is genuinely one of the best defensive midfielders I’ve ever seen, he’s a more refined version of N’Golo Kante,” another stated.

Even though’s Chelsea’s team performance against Copenhagen was fairly uninspiring, Caicedo was one of the shining lights on the pitch. He played 79 minutes at the base of midfield before coming off late on for Reece James.

Caicedo was inspired by N’Golo Kante and Claude Makelele, two of the greatest midfielders in Chelsea’s history. In fairness, he shows shades of both Blues legends in his own game.

It’s worth adding that Caicedo puts in these types of performances regardless of the opposition.

When the Blues travel to rivals Arsenal on Sunday in the Premier League, they’re going to need their all-action midfielder in the thick of the action.

Caicedo was tipped for greatness at Chelsea by the club’s sporting directors when he joined from Brighton in 2023. Well, he’s now really starting to live up to that hype with so many dominant performances, which is why suggestions he’s the world’s best defensive midfielder don’t seem unreasonable.
