Marcus Rashford is back in the England squad for the first time in a year after Thomas Tuchel rewarded the Manchester United forward for his form on loan at Aston Villa.

The 27-year-old was ostracised from the United squad by Ruben Amorim in December after a string of below par performances, but a January switch to Villa Park has seen Rashford reinvigorated under Unai Emery.

Rashford has registered four assists in nine appearances for Villa and has looked far livelier than he did in his final months at Old Trafford, with that form now enough to see him back in the England set-up and in contention to add to his 60 caps in World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia. He is the only United player included in the squad.

But while Rashford is back in the squad under Tuchel there is still no place for Jack Grealish, who is enduring a difficult season at Manchester City. Grealish hasn't started a Premier League game for City since December 21 and he was a controversial omission from the England squad for last summer's European Championship under Gareth Southgate.

Grealish was back in the fold in September and October under Lee Carsley, impressing in a more central position, but his lack of game time recently hasn't helped him win over Tuchel, who officially began work on January 1.

One potentially surprising City inclusion is Kyle Walker, who joined AC Milan on loan in January after a disappointing first half of the season at the Etihad. Walker has made eight appearances for the Italian giants, starting seven of them.

He is joined in Tuchel's squad by Phil Foden, who hasn't hit the heights of last season for his club but remains an England regular.
