Marcus Rashford has been named in Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad, returning to the Three Lions for the first time in 12 months.
The 27-year-old made a shock loan move to Aston Villa after struggles at Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United, but has found his stride again for Unai Emery’s side.
In his nine appearances, he has three assists and played his part in setting up a Champions League quarter-final tie against Paris Saint-Germain, earning himself a spot in Tuchel’s squad.
Ajax midfielder Jordan Henderson also returns to the squad, while Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly and Newcastle’s Dan Burn earn their first call-ups.
Reece James, also back in the squad, will be reunited with former Chelsea boss Tuchel as England prepare to face Albania and Latvia at Wembley Stadium as they kick off their World Cup qualification campaign.
Jack Grealish was in Lee Carsley’s squad for the last matches before Tuchel took charge, but loses his place having not started a Premier League game for Manchester City since late December.
