Two changes, Rothwell decision: Leeds United predicted Xi to face QPR - View

Leeds United travel down to Loftus Road this Saturday eager to pick up a much better result than last season’s away visit to QPR.

Daniel Farke’s Leeds side have a good opportunity to put the pressure back on their Championship promotion rivals this weekend by playing first and getting a big win away from home.

Victory over Millwall restored Leeds’ four-point gap over third place, and they could be seven clear by the time Burnley have to respond later on Saturday.

Joe Rothwell was one of a few standouts in Leeds’ Wednesday night win, and the midfielder was forced off late on as he signalled to the bench of discomfort in his knee, something Farke was aware of before kick-off.

Ahead of a quick turnaround to head to West London, Farke revealed that the ice baths and recovery for Rothwell should see him be fine to feature at Loftus Road, while full-back Isaac Schmidt has overcome recent illness to return to full training.

Illan Meslier got back to keeping a clean sheet in midweek but was largely untested by Millwall, whose main threat was the forehead of Jake Cooper from set-pieces, plus a sliced cross from substitute Tristan Crama that needed pushing wide.

At QPR, Meslier might be buoyed by the fact that attacking midfielder Ilias Chair might not be fit to feature, among multiple others, having scored from range in last season’s 4-0 hammering.
