Liverpool's centre-back boost as England international wants to quit current club

Marc Guehi to QUIT Crystal Palace

Marc Guehi, 24, is the Crystal Palace captain who has played 27 times for the Eagles in the Premier League this season. The 22-cap England international has scored three goals in the top flight this term for Oliver Glasner’s side as well as adding three assists.

Like Konate, he is out of contract in 2026 at Selhurst Park and sooner or later a reckoning is going to come for club decision-makers. Palace rejected a mammoth offer from Tottenham on the winter transfer window’s deadline day but interest is going to be harder to fend off this summer.

Tottenham are likely to be back and interest has now been reported from Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool in Guehi.

That’s according to the latest report in Caught Offside, which claims the Ivorian-born defender is ready to inform Crystal Palace that he wants to leave the club in the summer.

That would be welcome news for Liverpool, who could be set for a summer defensive reshuffle.

Guehi is a Chelsea academy product, who joined Palace initially for around £20 million back in 2021. He has since established himself in the England reckoning as well as becoming one of the most renowned centre-backs in the Premier League.
