'I certainly don't see that': Chris Sutton shares 'more likely' winner between Everton and West …

David Moyes will have his first reunion with West Ham since leaving the club last season, as he may want revenge with Everton.

Moyes has the chance to extend the Toffees’ extraordinary Premier League unbeaten run to nine games without a defeat.

The Scotsman has fired on all cylinders since returning to Everton, and Moyes is working on new tactical styles, showing how there is such a stark contrast from Sean Dyche’s tenure.

These new patterns of play could be seen against West Ham on Saturday afternoon as it seems like a game with a lot on the line.

Although both look likely to stay up now, Graham Potter chose West Ham over Everton, which adds a bit more fuel to this fixture, and Chris Sutton knows how it’s going to pan out.

Chris Sutton predicts Everton vs West Ham in David Moyes reunion

It’s hard to split two sides that have performed equally for the whole season, and the Premier League table proves that.

The game will be a tough one to call, but it seems like bragging rights have been added, as Potter kept quiet on previous Everton links and he could’ve been in Moyes’ place.

Evertonians will be thankful that their former manager is back at the helm, and Sutton’s prediction revolves around Moyes’ desire to get revenge over West Ham.

Speaking on the BBC Sport fixture predictions for this weekend, Sutton said: I think West Ham will score – Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus are both lively.

“I reckon a 2-1 Everton victory is more likely.

“Everton are on an eight-game unbeaten run in the league under Moyes, and I certainly don’t see that ending this weekend.

“Moyes left West Ham amicably last summer, but there will still be a part of him that will want to show them they were wrong for not renewing his contract.”

Moyes is close to breaking his own long-standing Everton record

After eight games unbeaten, it feels like the Toffees have lost the sense of feeling defeated, and that’s all down to Moyes’ impact.

Paul Merson predicted Everton to win as the Scotsman has managed to make Everton favourites in the majority of their last few games.

With the chance to make it nine against Potter’s side, Moyes might want to take a look at Everton’s longest unbeaten run in the Premier League, as he might be fairly familiar with it.

Everton’s record currently stands at 11 games, meaning they’d have to avoid defeat in their next four to beat it.

Moyes did this on two separate occasions, one in 2010 and the most recent one being 2012, but a serious threat awaits with Everton’s next four games.

It’s a chance to make history, but considering Everton’s fixture schedule, Moyes won’t want to ruin their chances against West Ham at Goodison Park.
