At this point in his decorated career, it's no longer surprising whenever Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry sets some sort of record on any given night. Thursday was extra special for the former back-to-back MVP, though, as Curry hit his 4,000th career triple in front of a capacity crowd at Chase Center.
It was far from a vintage performance for the 11-time All-Star as the Warriors handily defeated the Sacramento Kings, 130-104. Curry registered 11 points on 4-of-9 shooting, two rebounds, five assists, a steal, a block and two triples in 30 minutes of action.
It was Draymond Green who led the way for Golden State, dropping a season-high 23 points in the lopsided win.
There's no denying, however, that this was a milestone moment for Curry as he became the first player to ever hit the 4,000 mark for career threes. The next person behind him, Hall of Famer Ray Allen, sits at 2,973 career triples.
Curry's historic feat earned him a new nickname from the NBA: "Mr. 4K."

While Curry's incredible feat is the highlight of the evening, it is also important to note that this was Golden State's sixth straight win. They remain sixth in the Western Conference with a 38-28 record, but the 38-29 Minnesota Timberwolves are breathing down their necks for the final guaranteed playoff spot.
Curry's next chance to add to his all-time tally will be on Saturday when the Warriors play host to the New York Knicks.
